Fabtacular Christmas Pressie Make-Off-2010
They always say that a present that someone has made shows a lot more thought than something you simply buy in a shop. Well what better excuse can you have in these times of austerity than to visit the Manchester Fab Lab and this Christmas make your presents. Your friends and family will love you and so will your wallet!
Fab Lab will provide the materials and we'll share the know-how to help you create your 'Fabtacular Christmas pressie's'. The event runs between the 20th and 24th and is broken up in to two slots each two and a half hours long which run from 10AM to 12:30 and 1:30 to 4PM (on Friday the 24th they will just be a morning slot).
The activities are suitable for ages 5+. All Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The individual projects take different amounts of time to make but you should allow at least 2 hours.
Some of the 'Fabtacular Christmas pressie's' that you could make at the Fab Lab this Christmas include,
* Christmas Crackers - filled with all sorts of goodies, jokes, sweets, chocolate and party hats.
* Jewellery Boxes- perfect for presenting that special gift.
* Fab Christmas key rings and tree ornaments
* and for the older person there are electronic projects or you could even make yourself a special cellphone cradle!!!!!!
