 The aim of the Fab Lab is a place where anyone can make almost anything… local solutions for local problems!

Here are a few things that have been made in Fab Labs across the world  Fab Labs around the world

• In India, an electronic sensor to test the quality of milk has been developed that could ensure contaminated milk does not spoil larger batches sold to wholesalers by farmers.
• In Afghanistan ‘Fab Labbers’ are creating antennas to extend the range of wireless internet bringing communities together.
• In South Africa a government and business backed project is creating simple internet connected computers that hook up to televisions and cost just ten dollars each.

If you have recently been to the Fab Lab we would like you to write-up your project - To continue using the lab for free you must write up your project on our forum so we can put it on our website. Ensure you attach the inkscape files or PDFs you used as well as a couple of photos and importantly the settings you used for the machines e.g. cutting speeds, powers and other relevant information so someone else can also make it.
